Wednesday Word for February 16th
Well, It’s a couple days after Valentine’s Day.. Are you all flower-ed, card-ed, and candy-ed out? Perhaps you find it interesting like I do that individuals can turn on the charm and the ’giving’ feelings all because of the allure of the great ’day of love’. Did you see it? Were you possibly a participant when it’s out of your normal activity? Did you change?
I’m always amazed at how quickly stores like Walgreens and CVS can have isles and isles of decorations, gifts, balloons, etc.. You name it, and they have SO MUCH stuff pertaining to the current holiday. THEN, the next day, they’ve changed. They’ve completely changed their appearance and have moved on to the next event or ‘what’s hot’ happening.
So, here’s a thought: DO YOU CHANGE? Does your ‘ inside appearance’ change? Holidays come and go, seasons come and go - - it’s in with the new and out with the old. But WE are supposed to have something inside of us that is sustaining, that is lasting, that is the SAME; Day in and day out… WE of course = Grace receiving children of a loving God! It SHOULD be permanent right?
Spring is right around the corner. Enjoy it. I certainly will!
BUT DON’T CHANGE.
