Wednesday Word for February 23rd
This past weekend, I spent as I have many weekends over the last 10 years – sitting pool side, observing a swimming competition featuring one of my children. While my heart always jumps when a “Decker” is on the starting block, my favorite part of every swim meet is when the relays take to the water. Knowing the importance of every member of the relay team makes me watch in anticipation of knowing that victory comes with every stroke and not just on the last lap.
Yesterday and today, we are giving you the opportunity to join our relay team in making an eternal difference in the life of a child. By sponsoring a child thru Compassion International, you are not only investing in the life a needy child and their family, but you are also joining the “relay” that will bring the Gospel to this life, this household and this community.
Like the Good Samaritan, each of us has a part in the effort of providing compassion on those that are in need. It is a privilege to have those “beautiful feet” that bring the Good News.
